Consistent with the mission of Lions International, the VHLC’s mission is serving our local and international community since 1982. Our on-going humanitarian projects support the needs and challenges that lingers all around us, especially in areas of the environment, youth/education, health and vision, and hunger. Your kindness and generosity had served and helped improve our community and tremendously made a difference and touched the lives of many. 100% of funds raised from our charitable fundraising events are dedicated to the VHLC’s international and local projects.
The VHLC’s humanitarian local projects planned for the upcoming year is focused on Feeding the Hungry, Helping the Disadvantaged Youths, and Aid to Homelessness within the Sacramento area. The VHLC will also continue with our on-going project of serving and distributing food to needy families, and providing toys/gifts to the children in the hospitals, during the holiday season.
For the VHLC’s international projects, we will continue to support and donate to Computer Shiksha Foundation in its literacy program for disadvantaged children in over 905+ schools throughout India, serving over 100 thousand students. Additionally, one of our other objectives is helping the underprivileged and needy people especially in remote and poverty-stricken villages and towns in Punjab, India, in the areas of medical, educational, youth developments, including helping underprivileged yet very talented young golfers. We are in the planning stage to do a medical and dental mission in India, hopefully by the end of 2024, and thereafter in the Philippines.

Because of all our joint efforts and commitment, and with these simple acts of kindness, we have made a difference in our world and touched the lives of many.
